COVID-19 Impact

Due to the unprecedented health crises the United States is undergoing and in compliance with the directive Governor Tom Wolf announced today, the Rainbow Rose Center office will be closed for the next two weeks (March 17 – 31, 2020). We will abide by the guidelines set forth by the Governor, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, the CDC, and WHO in conjunction with the I.D.E.A.S. Center as to when we will reopen for our regular office hours and programs.

We will continue to serve the needs of our community online as we are able. We welcome you to connect with us via email (rainbowrosecenter@gmail.com) and/or Facebook message.

Thank you for your understanding. We will get through this together and we look forward to seeing you soon. Stay safe and stay healthy.

Sincerely, The Officers and Board of Directors of the Rainbow Rose Center

All Are Welcome Here
The Rainbow Rose Center is open Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Resource Specialists are available during these times to answer questions about LGBTQIA+ friendly businesses and employers, as well as health and other service providers. We distribute materials from and about our community partners, including the Central PA LGBTQ+ Resource Guide, Central PA’s LGBTQ newspaper the Central Voice, safe and healthy relationship materials.
We also share information on regional events and support groups, such as PFLAG York, Spectrum York, Martin Library's Gay-Straight Alliance, and Planned Parenthood's The Curve.

Visitors to the Rainbow Rose Center include individuals seeking friendly and affirming resources and allies looking for ways to connect.

Transgender Support Group Meetings
The York County Transgender Support Group meets at the Rainbow Rose Center on the 4th Saturday of each month, 8:30-9:30 PM.
Open to transgender individuals of all ages and their families, our monthly meetings provide community and conversation in a safe and affirming location. Our intent is to uplift transgender lives through understanding, acceptance, and pride. Wherever you are at on your transition journey, whether coming out or having lived your authentic life for years, we welcome you to join us in this opportunity to be yourself and be around others who understand and support you.
